8600GT refuses to overclock

After my latest re-build, my geforce 8600gt software refused to operate, it used to have a facility for o'clocking my card, for some unknown (suspect the driver) reason this has ceased to function.
My card's speed's were:
Original: GPU 540mhz Memory 400mhz Overclocked GPU 740mhz Memory 850mhz

Thre's nothing wrong with the software disc supplied with my card, has anyone have any experience or advice.

Actually i had the 8600gt running at that speed (with no artifact's) for over two month's, i thought that was one great achievement.
