I'm planning to upgrade my cpu from my current 4th gen i5, I have seen some benchmarks showing that the 8600k is on par with the 7700k in terms of gaming. Both these CPUs cost around the same when purchased with the motherboard, so I'm having a tough time deciding which is more worth it.
I mostly play games like PUBG, Battlefield 1, Assassins creed orgins etc.. I also do light work with adobe programs like photoshop and lightroom, but my focus would be gaming. Could anyone tell me the pro's and con's of the 2 so i can decide which to buy. Which would be more future proof too? and like do the z370 motherboards have any advantage over the 270s? Again, both will cost around the same price where im buying it.
Thanks!
Current rig:
MOBO: MSO H87-G43 Gaming
CPU: Intel i5-4440
PSU: Corsair 600M
GPU: Asus ROG 1060 6gb
8gb ram
Samsung evo 250gb SSD
WD blue 2TB
