8600k running hot?

so im am knew to the whole oc scene, and my problem is that i have a prime z370-p motherboard and noctua d9l cooler, i tried using the easy wizard OC setup and it put me at 4.5ghz but my temperatures go up to 90c within 3 minutes when stressing it with prime95. (someone plzz help i5-8600k)

You need a better cooler if you are OCing that CPU.
The Noctua NH-D14 or even better Noctua NH-D15.
How's the air flow on your case?

hey so i am using the master box pro 5 rgb, it comes with 3 fans in the front and 1 in the back.
could you suggest me a cooler that can help me achieve 4.5 or maybe 5ghz for under $100?
my 8600k wouldn't even OC to 4.3ghz and that's the base turbo
also is it true that you void your warranty if oc?
the test in prime95 would always hit over 85c max, on auto volts

That's the risk we take when OCing.
Not all CPUs are created equal, so just because someone else could get 5GHz very easy it does not mean everyone will have the same result.
You might need to increase voltage (1.35 - 1.40v) in case you cannot get higher than 4.3GHz
According to Intel "...Warranty does not cover product which has been modified or operated outside of Intel’s publicly available specifications ..."
Use a cooler like Noctua NH-D15 or be quiet! Dark Rock PRO 4 and if you have space a H115i.

i bought the noctua d9l on amazon so i'm gonna order a return and get the Noctua NH-D15!!!
i was also thinking about returning the motherboard $120 prime z370-p.
my case is the masterbox pro 5 rgb and this motherboard has no rgb header, could you recommend me one to replace it for the same price? i copied someone else build without knowing all this flaws.
do you think this is better choice?

If your are planning OCing select the Z370p. H series are very limited in that area.
