Hey guys I’m trying to build a pc now normally for browsing and streaming now, I do know I could get a lower cpu than 8700 but I really like this one and might be good for about 4-5 years.. plus 16 gb ram .. just wondering if i can use my pc for browsing and streaming with only the integrated graphics. And no gaming at all..

the i7 8700 is probably overkill for what you trying to do. Yes, it can all do all the listed plus much much more. You can achieve this also without problems with a much cheaper processor, which will also keep you happy for years. You really don't have to spend that much for the 8700.

The integrated GPU on the 8700 is pretty good. As long you not planning to run three 4k displays at a time you should be fine. Even gaming is possible, you just have to do a lot of compromises in terms of resolution and graphic settings.

what the....?

Is this supposed to be like...cpu 'exercise', or what? :)

Couldn't help myself...just a bit of fun as the 8700 will breeze through his workloads with ever breaking a sweat....But still to his question. It is a very good CPU and will last a long, long time and never miss a beat...Of course he could get a fair few CPU's both from AMD or Intel at a much lower cost that will also more than do the job but nothing wrong with getting the 8700...

Would you be able to tell me what motherboard would suit me best, I know ppl talking getting budget Z370 rather than H370 even tho I won’t be overclocking.
Looking forward to build with i7 8700, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15 Desktop Memory Kit - Black , EVGA 650 GQ, 80+ Gold 650W, Semi Modular, ECO Mode, 5 Year Warranty, Power Supply 210-GQ-0650-V1

I could do gaming in a year or 2, And my gaming is really only fifa.. for now I’ll build without gpu for normal browsing and streaming, in a year time might add a 1060 maybe,
Any recommendation on mob , don’t really need WiFi, not more than 180 bucks, maybe with better features included .

The MSI Tomahawk is a good value Z370 Motherboard reviewed quiet well by Tom's and removes SLI and a second M.2 slot...not required for you and only $119.99 at B&H...but do shop around.

Z370 platform would be my choice as in the future you will be able to upgrade to the 9th Gen Intel CPU's that are on the way including the 9600K, 9700K and 9900K bringing 8 cores and 16 threads to the table from Intel.

Finally I am sure others will provide some other thoughts on a motherboard...

If i can afford the ASUs tuf pro gaming and asus ROG Strix both Z370, would you tell me to go for the msi or ASUs one? Plus somebody said to me I wouldn’t need any cpu cooler as I wouldn’t be doing any gaming, just a cpu case fan will do ? Is that right? Thanks
