Hi everyone

I've recently noticed that my CPU temps are getting quite high when gaming, 80C when playing Division 2 which was only using 60% CPU. I then decided to lower VCore in an attempt to lower temps (idk if its even stable at this point).

Current setup:
i7 8700k @ 4.7Ghz all cores, 1.216VCore. Hitting 88.5C (24C ambient) in P95 with AVX testing disabled
Hyper 212 Evo, using its provided thermal paste. The thermal paste is from 2013 and the last time I re-applied the paste was in 2018 when I got the 8700k.
ASRock Z370M Pro4
Coolermaster HAF XM Case, case fans were at basically 95% speed during these temps.

To me, 88.5C at 4.7Ghz 1.216VCore is wayyy too high but I'm not sure what the problem is. Maybe I just need to reapply thermal paste but it's only been 2 years and the paste might be a bit old now.

Thanks.

Buy a better cooler or lower the overclock and voltage.
