not long ago i updated my bios from f2 to f14 my mother board is a Z370 AORUS ULTRA GAMING 2.0

it wont load my pre saved bios settings so i had to redo my overclock, im now 5.0Ghz @ 1.28

temps seem fine,

room temp is 20c ish idle temps are 35-40c ( case isnt the greatest for air flow In-Win 303 Mid Tower Case - White

gaming temps are avg 60c max temp hit 72 for a split sec ( cod war zone ultra settings uncapped )

i ran prime 95 small temps were around 80c which is find but i got a error rounding was 0.5 expected less than 0.4 which i believe means it needs a bit more voltage?

should i up the voltage a bit or leave it atm, im not getting any crashes or bsod

cheers

Afro_ninja199,

Although "Throttle" temperature is 100°C, it should never be allowed to run that hot. If you reached 80°C during P95 Small FFTs (no AVX), then you're OK.

Here's the nominal operating range for Core temperature:

Core temperatures above 85°C are not recommended.

Core temperatures below 80°C are ideal.

5.0GHz at 1.280 Vcore indicates that you have a decent 8700K. Enjoy your rig!
