8700k oc high temp

my 8700k runs 88C at 1.28v with a h100i and my friend has a h80i which runs at the same voltage 90C
Since I have a better cooler does it mean my "TIM" under the IHS is way worse than his? And delidded is worth it?

are these temps during gaming? or stress tests? at whats speed/freqs were u running at?
what are your motherboards? did you try disabling Multicore Enhanced/Turbo Enhanced in your BIOS?

Beheading/Delidding a processor does not come without risks.
I would be using this option only as the last resort.
