8800 Alpha Dog,When was this made?

My buddy found one of these in good condition,not used.I was wondering specs on it as far as when it started to be made,is it good and price of it now.I know its Nvidia and see a lot of good talk about it.Anyone tell me more?

Its likely around 8 yrs old. 8800 series was released near the end of 2007. I had a couple of XFX 8800gt alpha dogs and there were great for thirr time but are severly lacking by todays standards.

I guess alpha dog means nothing overall its just a old 8800 card like evga has a kingpin or a classy or sc ?? the amount of memory on them old card aint much by todays standards or needs [512 mb max ??] a lesser card today is atleast 2gb

Ahh ok,thank you for the info guys,ya computer tech moves really fast,shame this thing is in perfect condition and just garbage

would not say its garbage there maybe some one with a legacy rig that would use it , heck I still run a xp rig with a older agp slot card

I bet theres a few 8800 cards still in good use today
