8800 or 9500?

If this comes across as a confued post, its probably got a lot to do with me being confused!
I have my (old ) PC with a Q6600 CPU and twin GF8800GT 512 cards, Aluminium case with an OCZ 1000w PSU, win 32 on 2x250 hdd with 4gb ram

The more recent box has a Q9500 CPU and twin GF9550GT 1024 cards, win64 on a 1 TB hdd and 8gb ram.a gigabyte steel case with a stock 500w PSU, and no spare connectors for gpu power (tho I do have some molex splitters.)

Both have identical Asus P5N-E SLI mobo's.

So heres my problem, what is the best combination of PSU, CPU and GPU?

I have a guy coming next friday to swap it all about for me...truth to tell, I just dont have the time to do it all meself!

Whatevers left over will be donated to my 12 year old who loves making her youtube vids!

Any answers gratefully received!

The best combo is to put the better parts in one system - the 9500 should be running the SLI 8000 GTs with the 1000w PSU.

Thats what I thought, but wasnt sure, I have been looking for ages to try to find a comparison, but when asking questions, got questions back like "what clock speed are they, type of RAM etc", thanks for the help
