If you want an honest answer, that looks like you have too much time and even more money to waste. Reasons? The QX6850 is a CPU only for those who don't care about money, same with the 8800 Ultra (Let alone Leadtek's leviathan edition).

What I would do to keep performance at nearly the same and save at least $1500 is to drop the CPU to the Q6600 and get SLI GTX instead.

Is this a dream machine that you wont actually buy or what? this things gonna cost an arm and a leg, maybe even a kidney.
You'll probably want a PCI or PCI-E X1 Raid controller if you want it for your harddrives, Mobo's arent the best at that job.
EDIT: also, will that mobo fit in an E-ATX case?

1) Save $1,000 by buying a Q6600 and overclocking it.

2) I still say the 8800 Ultra's are a waste of money overall. Just get the 8800GTX and save the extra cash to buy the new gen of GPU's when they come out (which is winter time I believe)

3) Even if I had the money, I wouldn't get anything Blu-ray or HD-DVD for my computer until the industry figures out a format.

OK Mate, alot of these thing are just burning money in fact this machine is gonna burn ya through like 1.5k extra when you could save 2.5k. in my opinion if you want a really good gaming good experience this is the rig you want

CPU Q6600 Saves 1.2k
The ultras are like 1k each yes you will get better performance then gtxes but it's not worth it. get
Dual Evga 8800 GTX for 600 each instead and get a sperate WC cooling save 800-900 bucks
Get a more brandname Powersupply
Get more cd/dvd drive with a BIG case i have only one dvd drive and trust me it's annoying

Keep the rest you have and VIOLA I saved you 2.2k which is enough to put 9800GTX in sli as soon as they come out... Good Luck

not bad man... just make sure to get a BIG screen to squeeze everything bit of performance of your gtxes and get a cheaper sound card no more then $300 after that it's just not worth it. do get surround sound speakers enhances your experience when playing horror fps and watching movies not so much when listening to music

keep it under 10 K you say ?? Holy Shiz. It sounds like you dont know all that much about computers....IMO, or at least saving some money while building one. Put the 10 K in my hands, I'd know what to do with it. Must have alot of money to throw around. OR youre lying.

If you REALLY want the ultimate then just build it....Go ahead, find the most expenisve hardware and throw it in a computer. Pretty generally most expensive = THE BEST. It's just that other people ( including myself) would probably not like to see all that money go to waste for a few more fps. But if you want the ULTIMATE like you say, then you don't need this thread. Just go build it. The Specs you have posted truely look like the best, although I suggest 4 Gigs of Mushkin REDLINE and 150 Raptors in RAID instead of what you are thinking.

Personal suggestion:

Spend a decent amount towards it now ($3,000 will get you a nice system), and save the rest for you next rebuild or upgrades you plan on doing anyway. The way hardware changes every six months and how the newest game pushes hardware, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to spend all the money at once only to upgrade it again when the newest hardware does come out.

At the end of the day i want to build a really great gaming machine i had a few quieries such as will the 8800Ultra leviathan work in sli on one monitor? I had read somewhere that it had no pciexpress bridge.
