8800gt device driver stopped working

Hello,

Usually reliable graphics card stopped working. Tried uninstalling device drivers and re-installing from Nvidia and Microosft, to no avail. Also tried registry clean ups w. PCTools. "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

Try the card in another machine to double check if you can but code 43 is device failure, sorry.

Thanks. I agree with the diagnosis. 2.5yrs seems too short a lifespan to me - it wasn't used at anything but factory settings. However, an expired card forced me into an upgrade (GTX 460). Every cloud...
