8800GTS revision

From what I understand, the 320mb 8800GTS is being discontinued and the 640mb 8800GTS is being revised. I currently own an 640mb 8800GTS, and I was hoping to be able to upgrade to an SLI setup sometime in the future. Has there been any mention of whether the revised 8800GTS will work with the older model?

Never heard of a revision but I doubt nvidia would be stupid enough to make the new ones incompatible

Only eVGA knows what 96+ Shaders mean.

I would doubt that they would be compatible.

While they would share a name, their internals would be quite a bit different with the new ones built on the new processor model that is used by the 8800GT.
