I am going to be building a new rig soon and I was wondering if 8800gtx would be worth getting, I currently own the SAMSUNG 931C and might get another 19" monitor soon so i can dual monitor. Since the monitor is only 19" should I just get another video card instead of being bottlenecked by my monitors? If so, what video cards would yall suggest?

I believe that Samsung is 1280x1024.. which isn't terribly high resolution. I doubt you'd notice a huge difference dropping down to the 8800GTS.. it's still smokin fast in DX9. If you can afford the $400 and plan on upgrading to Vista, go DX10 compatible with it instead of paying $200-300 for a DX9 card that will be outdated in 6-9 months anyway. I'd only start pushing for the 8800GTX for the larger resolution monitors.. it's your call.. games keep getting more graphically complex regardless of the resolution - it just becomes a requirement at high resolutions to have the fastest available for playable frame rates. At 1280x1024, most cards will be easily playable on current games.

yah i think the 8800gtx will be worth it for you.. if you stick to your monitor at 1240x1040 res (i think thats the resolution) you ll be able to play any games that are released for years.. think about it at 12 x 10 and a 8800gtx an a e6400 u d probally get 150fps on fear my rough guesS??? then buy next years new release u d prob get wut 70 fps at 12x10 resolution?? then year after that maybe 30fps which is still playable.. so for future proofing at a avg resolution it is deffintly a good investment
