8GB 1600 RAM running at 800MHz?

Alright it's pretty quick, but important question. I checked on CPU-Z and it says my RAM is running at 800MHz, when I know I bout 1600MHz. I don't think it's because it's dual channel because I'm only running on stick of AMD r5 memory. It was bought new from Microcenter. How do I fix this without messing to much with anything that will break my PC like voltages. In the BIOS however it shows that the memory is at 1600MHz

DDR means double data rate so your 800 mhz. ram effective speed is at 1600. No worries. A second stick would increase performance 10-15% (2x4 instead of 1x8).

Is it two sticks of four? If so what it means is 800 x 2 = 1600, so you're running at good speeds.

It's one stick, in the BIOS however it says it is running at 1600
