Hi Guys

Novice PC builder here.

Im planning to Buy Gigabyte B460M Power Motherboard and an I3 10100F. the I3 10100F max ddr4 Ram speed support is 2666Mhz and the B460M Board supports 2133, 2400, 2666, 2933 Mhz.
My question is that i still have X2 8GB Kingston Hyper X Fury 2400Mhz CL15 from my Previous Rig. if I Install it on that B460M Board will my Ram gets overclocked to 2666Mhz? under normal config? or if i turn on XMP Profile?
or will the Board will just use the MAX rated ram speed of my ram which is 2400Mhz?

Will the I310100F still work properly even if i still use a 2400 Mhz DDR4 ram?

Solution
Your ram is 2400mhz out of the box, and will run at 2400mhz unless overclocked. XMP will not turn it to 2666, only manual overclocking will, which I personally don't recommend.

You definitely can use that ram, and the i3 will work just fine.
