Greetings

It seems these sticks are not recognized by my mobo: After inserting them in the DIMM slots no beeping will be heard. I know this specific model is not compatible with my mobo brand, but I would like a different opinion. Any way to tweak the mobo's BIOS so I can make the ram modules run?

Ram modules model: HX318C10F/4 (2 units)
-----------------------
My Specs
Motherboard : Asus P5G41T-M LX3
CPU : QuadCore Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 2400 MHz (9 x 267)
GPU: ATI radeon HD 4850 512 mb
------------------
Thanks for your time

PS: If I have to upgrade my mobo, I would like to hear your recommendations as regards which would be a good budget motherboard(low cost-still functional) choice that would run well with these ram modules and would be compatible with my current CPU and GPU.

Solution
Hey Ernest :)
So i figured out the problem.Your Motherboard can only take up to 1333 O.C RAMs.Whereas The RAM you Bought is 1866MHz.So What You Can do is maybe get a low end RAM (1333MHz) or Change your Motherboard. What You Have is a LGA 775 Socket type.It Was VERY Hard to find a Motherboard that supported Your CPU and The RAM.After Quite Few Minutes i Found A RARE mobo 😀

It Supports Q6600(Your Processor) And Can Handle Upto 2200MHz Of RAM
Cheers Mate 😀
"This motherboard supports DDR3 memory that features data transfer rates of 1333 (O.C.)/1066/800 MHz providing great performance for 3D graphics and other memory-demanding applications.

*For this motherboard to support DDR3 1333MHz RAM, use a CPU with 1333MHz or higher Front Side Bus (FSB) speed. Refer to your CPU specifications for the FSB value." ~https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5G41TM_LX/

As you said the RAM isn't supported by your motherbaord. You can try http://www.overclock3d.net/articles/memory/how_to_manually_set_up_your_ram_speed_timings_and_voltage/1 to see if you can work it backwards but if you're not getting anything, then you're probably sunk. Another Tom's post about underclocking RAM http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1922148/underclocking-ram-compatibility.html While you could upgrade the motherboard, if you're looking that route I would look to update the whole system. Otherwise, buying new RAM and shelving the 1866 until you do get a new build would probably be best/cheapest. New RAM would run you about 40$ and a motherboard would probably by 50$ or more.

Solution
heres what I see on this ??

Hi, I'm Jewel with Kingston Technical Support and would like to offer our assistance. It is possible that the HyperX 4GB memory modules are Single Rank as the latest builds of that part number are Single Rank. Up until recently 4GB modules were standard Dual Rank. Basically, the issue that can occur is that the memory module uses high capacity individual memory chips (DRAM) that the motherboard is not equipped to recognize. Usually, if a motherboard is able to recognized standard 8GB modules it should not have an issue recognizing Single Rank 4GB modules. A "1R" may be printed on the label which would indicate it as single rank. Otherwise, we can confirm this based on a reference number printed on the memory label that we can look up in our system. Other common issue with the DDR2/DDR3 combo motherboards that can be overlooked is that it only supports DDR2 OR DDR3 memory. This means you cannot have both DDR2 AND DDR3 memory installed at the same time, it is an either/or option. We do not currently support your PFG41C-M LX motherboard as we no longer manufacture memory that would be compatible with that motherboard. For any further assistance, please call us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT and I or another available Technician will assist you. Please be sure to have the part in question on hand when you call.

from intel [may also pertain to more boards then talked about here with this one ???] just need to go look over at intel on your board to see ??

1Kingston memory: Intel has received reports of a Kingston memory compatibility issue with systems using the Intel® Desktop Board DH61DL. The issue only occurs when two DIMMs are installed. The issues that may occur include corrupt video, no video output, or random reboots. Although the DH61DL board is operating within specification, a modification was made so these compatibility issues are reduced. For more details of memory compatibility enhancement implementation on Intel Desktop Board DH61DL

newer memory ic's and older chipsets may not play well ??

Thanks everyone for the quick responses!. I see I have no chance of tweaking my current mobo to make them run, so I think I will stick to the idea of upgrading the mobo... (and the CPU, not sure still If I want to afford this too).. I will check the rare mobo you post Mohammed. It might be a good idea, but still do not know if is a good option in the long run, when I upgrade everything, still I'll consider it.
Thanks for your time, again :)
