Question 8gb but (3.95 usable)

Im just added a 2tb hard to my pc
My ram was 8gb ddr3
But the Windows properties says i can use just 3.95(win10)
I checked bios(msi g43-a)
But it saya i have 8gb of ram and its not Change able
How can i take it back to 8 gb without changing the windows?

Is normal. Windows attempts to hog as much memory as it can but will relinquish as it needs to.

The only number you care about is PAGE FAULT or Swap File Size (actual used) which really indicates you have run out of physical memory and is swapping stuff to the HD. PAGE FAULT a few hundreds MB normal, after that, plan buying more memory or get into the habit of closing stuff u don't need.

In which slots have you installed the ram? Color for color or?(Example you have blue and black, you put matched rams into Blue-Blue or Black-Black.)

I tested both black black and blue blue(blue blue right now) butt still 3.95usable
I tested the msconfig>advanced option and things like that but still not working
