So today i received my 8gb (2x4gb) ram which i bought off crucial.
I also have my other 4gb (2x2gb) which are also in the pc at the moment and when i open up resource manager it says "Hardware Reserved: 8905mb" and in control panel "Installed memory: 12GB (3.30 Usable)

(When i enable the ram remap option in BIOS my pc wont load past the bios splash screen)

Specs
CPU: Intel Core i3 530
GPU: GTX 650 TI
Ram: 12GB (3gb Usable)
OS: Windows 10 64-Bit - x64 Based Processor
Motherboard: Medion MS-7616
The new ram: (I used crucial scanner) 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 PC3-12800 Unbuffered NON-ECC 1.5V 512Meg x 64 : CT3731896

Things i tried
-Unticked Maximum memory in msconfig
-Moved the ram slots around
-ClearPageFileonshutdown
-Enable Ram remapping (freezes on bios splash screen)
-Googled every other possibility
-Change ram combinations
-pretty much everything :fou:

Please help

Should i take out the old ram cards and just use the 2 new ones?

Yeah they work by their selves, now 4gb are hardware reserved but the usable memory is still at 3.30gb

Im not sure since this wasnt my pc (was my sisters old bfs pc and i just upgraded it) but the cooler is some AVC cooler

I THINK its this one

I don't quite understand what you meant by that

Didn't do anything :/

I think if i can get past the memory remap freeze i can get the ram to work but it freezes on the splash screen and dosent go anywhere from there, so yeah

So i found out another thing, when i start my bios (all 12gb of ram inserted) its says System Memory: 3384mb
