8GB installed 4GB Shows

OK, so I've done some reading on the forums here but i have been having this issue for a while now and the problem has been fixed for some people by switching from sots 1 & 3 to 2 & 4, my issue however is my board only has 2 slots, yes i am running 64 bit windows 10, CPU-z says i have 8GB installed but TSK MNGR says its only using 4GB

Not sure, it was a prebuilt system

Who bought those two separate 4gb is a fool. No MB will recognize 8gb, you need to buy new ones (come with a set of 2) if you want 8 gb. What is the MB model? We can find you something as cheap as possible.

Go here and get the F4 version of the BIOS and install it. Your memory should be fine at stock speeds.

tried that just now, cant do it because the file doesn't support 64-bit

Make sure you get the version for your OS. Also, you can save to a thumb drive and install the BIOS from the BIOS/UEFI itself (the method I use).
