Hello, thanks for reading this thread.

My computer has 16GB of ram but there is always 8 used.
And after 2-4 from starting my pc it goes up to 10GB always used.

Google chrome eats allot of ram But not enough to be 8GB.

Are they installed in the correct slots?
Typically you want them installed in slots 2 and 4.
Your PC will not always necessarily use all the RAM it has all of the time.
For example, if it is under idle or low load, it will not use much RAM, while if it is say running an application which demands high RAM usage like a stress test, it will use all 16GB.

They are installed in slot 2 and 4.
Slot 4 being a weird one because i cant click it fully in.

But even if i close my chrome we are still talking about 6 GB in use.
Only with programs as, Skype and taskmanager open.

Thanks for helping me!

Open up Task Manager and go into the Process Tab and sort the Memory column from greatest to least. This should show you what processes are using up the most RAM. If it's not obvious because many Windows processes aren't listed in the Task Manager, look in the Resource Monitor.

The high RAM usage on your system could be related to background programs taking up a large allocation of RAM, use task manager to check this under memory.
What do you mean you can't put it fully in? It's a matter of you can or you can't, it should click into place provided you have the notch lined up and the sides pressed down.
Run a stress test and see if it is fully utilizing your RAM, it should be using 16GB in something like 3D mark firestrike for example.
EDIT: What is your motherboard?

Its just not clicking in, back in 2014 i was not realy into computers and i got scammed, I asked a company to build me a computer and they second hand stuff so ram slot 4 is not fully clicking in, but it works.

My motherboard is a Asus P9X79-LE

ntoskrnl.exe is also using allot of ram

Here is a good article detailing memory leakage with that executable, and how to fix it: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/windows-10-how-fix-system-ntoskrnl-exe-memory-leak-high-cpu-usage-1514316
Pretty much explains everything I would say, so i've just linked it.
