I have two 4GB sticks installed into my computer, however, it seems I can only use 4GB when I should have 8GB. In task manager, it says I can only use 4GB but in Speccy it says I have 8GB. How can I fix this?

Here's a screenshot of what the problem is.

Run msconfig then go to boot, advanced and check whether the box maximum memory is ticked. It should not be. If not ticked, right click on your computer-->properties, and see the specs. What does it read? ex 8gb (4gb usable)?? If yes, maybe your ram is outsourced by the onboard graphics (too much memory to be honest but have a look at your bios). If nothing does it, try reseating your rams.
Post your specs for your ram. Speccy does not mention it. Are the ram sticks from a kit? Are they the same make and model?
If so Speccy should not read them as single channel but dual

Check to see if you OS is a 32 bit OS or a 64 bit OS. To check right click on the start button and select "system". If it is 32 bit then you will need to do a fresh install with a 64bit to see the RAM.

I checked and my OS is 64 bit. Also I just tried reinstalling the sticks since I have 4 slots and now it doesn't want to read one of them. It's only showing that I have 4gb instead of 8gb.
