[SOLVED] 8GB RAM (2x4GB) GTX 1070

Solution
Still 8GB of ram may be limiting, since the textures and etc have to load into ram and rendering into GPU memory.
Since some games like to have more ram,
For instance for me WoT, 6GB of ram with ultra SD, on lowest settings barley 3GB of ram (Total memory usage).
Also 2.3GB of VRAM at ultra and on lowest barley 800Mb.
thank you for the help with my questions on RAM usage, and now as far as my current processor. i am running an intel core i3-8100 4 core 3.6GHz turbo unlocked LGA1151 300 series 95w, so to run a 1070 would you recommend an upgrade?

Still independent resources. CPU, RAM, GPU. Not specifically tied together. You haven't identified what games/software you are running. So far, no reason given to upgrade. It sounds like you have $$$$ burning your hands. If you don't have a large SSD, you would get move overall performance by getting a 500GB SSD than by changing your RAM.

my current games that i am playing are r6 siege, overwatch, GTA5 and there will be newer games that i would like to play down the road, i just wasnt sure if anything in my computer need to be upgraded in order to run a 1070 since i am currently running a GTX 1050 card and am running most games on low/medium settings.

and yes you are correct i should probably invest in ssd, i dont have a load of money, i would just like to see what it would take to more out of my computer later on down the road that would keep me from having to build a whole new PC

Of course CPU and GPU ARE tied together! That's why bottlenecks exist and most likely a bottleneck will occure with that combo. An I3 is way to weak for a gtx 1070 in my opinion. Get at least an i5 4570 like mine
