Up until Q1 2014 there is no game using more than 4gb, and then at Q4 most game use more than 4GB, so do you think games like Far Cry 4, Watchdog, New Batman, GTA V etc will have noticable performance difference when i upgrade my 4gb ram to 8gb ram?

another question is single channel vs dual channel is making noticable different in gaming ?

My SPECS:
Intel Core i3-4130
Zotac GTX 750 Ti
2x2GB 1600Mhz Kingston RAM
Played on 720p resolution

I use Windows 8.1 since it has better paging filing and better access to DirectX 11 based apps

Solution
1) If a game runs out of SYSTEM MEMORY (i.e. DDR3) then you tend to get a massive loss of frame rate or an "out of memory" error.

You can also have delays starting a game if Windows has to move things out of System Memory to the Pagefile to clear up space for a game to run.

Game recommendations are hard to go by. It may say "6GB system required" but 4GB may actually work fine if you aren't running a web browser or other demanding program.

2) Dual Vs Single:
Often makes a difference but it depends on what CPU you have, how fast the DDR3 memory is, and how demanding the game is.

Summary:
You definitely want 8GB total of System memory, but to be clear this is more about preventing a crash not a frame rate improvement.

You should also...

You should also provide some basic specs for better info (motherboard, CPU, GPU, Windows OS).

*Finally, you need 64-bit Windows to utilize this much memory.

so....i have a choice :

1. single channel 8gb stick
2. dual channel 4gb stick

does the first choice better for future since i only have two RAM slots in motherboard.
