8GB RAM installed and windows is showing that i have 12GB

I bought 2 Kingston's 4GB 1333ghz and my windows is showing that i have 12GB of RAM installed (8GB usable). Is my windows glitched?

My motherboard: M5A78LM_LX_V2 (it has only 2 ram slots)

I dont know if i should let this the way it is or try to fix it.

pretty much. if you want to refresh windows you can but i have had windows say i have 32BG of ram when i only had 8

How much memory do you have on your vid card?

Can use CPU-Z (look in the SPD tab) to check each stick and it's model #. We've seen people buy a set of 2x4GB before and end up getting a 4 and an 8GB stick. You can confirm what the stick is via the model #
