8gb RAM only 3.92gb useable

I use to have 16gb of RAM and there wasn't any issue, since I broke the stick of RAMs while moving cases I decided to just get 8gb of RAM first (dual channel). I put it in as the exact same configuration and now it says that I have 8gb but only 3.92 are useable.

Don't worry about it. The rest is set up as a virtual memory space and is allocated back to system memory as necessary.

My heart tells me to tell you to look into motherboard drivers. I don't know if that's your issue, but reinstalling them might fix it.

Will you see both modules there ?

yer how much memory is reported in BIOS, and double check your OS is 64bit
