Hello and thanks for your time.

I built my computer back in 2011 with 4 gig of this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277

Then I recently wanted 4 gig more and bought another batch of them and Windows reads the new sticks mixed with old as 12gig, 8gig usable, when in the system alone the 2014 sticks read as 8gig, 4gig usable. I reads my 2011 ram fine alone. It reads properly in bios. In cpuz both sets of ram show up differently, the old 2011 sticks says 667mhz and the 2014 sticks say 800mhz.

I can't figure out what is wrong, when the 2014 sticks are in my computer they cause issues, blue screen, programs messing up etc.

I use

ASUS M4A79XTD EVO Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6850
Cooler Master GX - 750W Power supply

Thanks again for your time, sorry to be a bother.

Solution
Your board is probably able to read all the sticks but one of the new ones is obviously bad, considering that you get crashes and BSOD. I have seen boards show bad RAM but only show what good RAM is actually useable.

Personally I would RMA it and use only the new RAM as mixing and matching can cause instabilities.
