8gb x 1 stick or 10gb x 2 stick ram

i'm just wondering if running with two different size stick is worse than just 1 stick.
because I have one 8GB stick and a 2GB. both corsair vengeance.

As long as your system is stable there and you don't care about dual channel then there's nothing wrong with it. However even if you did care about dual channel you really wouldn't notice any performance differences anyway.

if the same speed, then both should run mostly equally, but i would remove the 2 gb module and replace it with another identicall 8 gb module to be sure
