I'm about to build a rig for 8k video editing (360 and VR). Below is what I'm about to buy. Any suggestions? Anything I'm missing:

Computer Case: Corsair Vengeance C70 ATX Mid Tower
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-AX370
Power Supply: Corsair RXM 850 platinum fully modular
CPU: AMD Ryzen 1700
Memory: Corsair 64gb DDR4 (4x16) 3000mghz
HD 1: Samsung 960 m.2 NVMe PCI-E 1TB
HD 2: Seagate 5 TB Sata Drive
Video Card: GIGABYTE GEFORCE GTX 1080 NVIDIA
Optical Drive: Pioneer UHD Bluray writer
Cables Qty 6 Okgear 18inch sata cables
Misc: Aritch thermal paste
OS: Windows 10 Pro USB

I also have antistatic wrist straps. I also plan on buying an Oculus Rift and 4k monitor. It's been a while since I built a machine. Just want to make sure I won't be missing something.

Also I notice the case has a radiator but I'm only using cooling fans (Ryzen 1700 comes with fan). Any thoughts?

No they have different chipset. Yes 16C/32T Threadripper is $999. Wait for some time and would also recommend to wait for Volta GPU.
If you're going to be doing 4k gaming and VR, I highly suggest that you upgrade to a 1080ti, as that seems to be the bare minimum for 4k gaming, and kicks VRs ass in general. I would also nitpick and upgrade to a 1700x or 1800x, but the 1700 works just as well, you'll just take a small performance hit in gaming.

The rest looks pretty solid.

Thanks for the response. I probably wont' be doing much gaming. Just 8K (3d and 360) video and photos. I'm not sure how much extra performance you get from going to the TI in editing.

Can I upgrade from Ryzen 1700 to Threadripper at a later date?

Does it use the same chip slot? I'm at my max budget and would rather use the 1700 and upgrade to threadripper later if I needed it. Thread ripper is $1000 right?
