What cord do I need for my GTX1080 8GB MSI, so it hooks up with my 1000W Supernova power supply. (MB: Sabertooth 990FX) I only have a 8pin to a 6pin VGA but I don't think I have a 6pin VGA slot.

Solution
Are you plugging the correct end of the cable into the PSU? The 8-pin end goes to the PSU; the 6+2 pin end goes to the card. There's no reason it shouldn't fit perfectly unless you have the wrong cable.

I have the black and red MSI one, but yeah pretty much. My graphics card turns on and the LED'S show, but the fans dont spin and I have a black screen.

I have the 6pin connected right now but all the other 8pins I try will not work on my power supply cause they are mostly 8 to 6pin (VGA) to 2 pins.

When I go to put the 6 pins in the bottom 3 that are not being used the clip at the bottom bends up. And yes I am puting the top clip into the hole.

My only real problem is that the AVG cord bends every time I attempt to put it in my power supply. (In the bottom three slots) (The clip at the top of it bends)
