currently im using an lga775 cire 2 duo e6600 no oc. i will be switching to a different motherboard. an intel one instead of a biostar one that doesnt have enough features. the biostar one is 24 pin + 3 pin cpu power. the new intel one will have an 8pin cpu power connector. my psu only has a 4pin. will it be ok to use a 4pin psu with an 8pin mobo?

Yes. You can plug a 4 pin 12 volt power cable into an 8 pin EPS motherboard connector. However, I do not know if it will work properly with an Intel motherboard. I do know that most Asus motherboards will work with either a 4 pin connection or an 8 pin connection. In fact some Asus motherboards I used came with plastic cover over 4 of the 8 pins. I had to remove the plastic cover to use all 8 pins.
