[SOLVED] 8pin for GPU but mother board needs 4pin

Good day, my psu has an 8 pin but the motherboard uses the 4pin. Now i want to add a video card but it needs an 8 pin connector. So do i need a psu with 2 8pin connector? Sorry newbie here

Connectors for MB and GPU are different, can't be interchanged. MB connectors are usually in 4+4 pin and for GPU are 6+2 configuration and you need to have both.
