i purchased 2x 8pin gpu power cable and it looks the photo above.

as you can see, yellow cable coming from left is connected on top slot and opposite side it is connected on the bottom.

will it work on any graphics card?

thank you

Solution

yes, because a corsair psu is the same as a zalman...

And I am sure you are doing it no favors running it with dual 1080's

750w is recommended for a reason...bro

why would you buy this? When you can simply just buy a gpu with a single 8-pin?

what power supply do you have?

what card did you want to buy?

i just want to know that will this cable work to split 1 x 8pin gpu power cable to 2x 8pin power cable?

i have bought zalman 650w psu and i will have 2 x 1080 as each 1080 tdp is 200w

thanks

not going to work

zalman is pretty shit to begin with, it will probably blow up

you need a GOOD 750w unit with the proper pcie cables for dual 1080's

bro, please dont write something that is not FACT.

i am using i74790k / asus savertooth mark1 z97 / 32gb gskill ram / 2 x 1080 which is running fine

with corsair 650w.

both of them are single rail 12v im pretty sure zalman will handle it's job.

i just want to know why some pcie power spilitter wires are connected not correctly.

btw zalman psu will arrive in few days. i will let you know how it goes.
