can i use the 8pin to 4pin adapter to cpu power.?

If your motherboard has a 4 pin connector and the PSU has a 8 pin connector you don't need an adapter.
The 8 pin from the PSU splits into a 4+4 pin and one of the 4 pin connectors will fit into the mobo... plug it in and everything will work fine.
