So just something remarkably stupid, or at least I hope not. My laptop keyboard was dirty so I used some cloth with very little HAND SANITIZER. How bad is that? Kept it unplugged and waited before starting it, it works fine but could it do any harm?

Edit: Its the watery type and not the gel.

Solution
Alcohol is fine for most electronics like PCB and CPU, however, I would not use it to clean the chassis or screen of a laptop, as these are made from plastic and other materials that may be damaged by hand sanitizer.

It should be OK but just use a warm damp rag next time that’s wrung out next time. Better yet is use those disinfectant wipes
