900-1000$Gaming Pc Build

so as the title says im going for a 900-1000$ gaming build and what i actually want for now is like 8gb ram and Intel Core i5-3570K and the confusion is between Radeon HD 7950 or gtx 660 ti an overclock may be necessary in the future but for sure not at the start about sli or cross fire i dont know if its actually worth it (also in the future not at the start) here are some tries for 2 builds one gtx 660 ti one and the other for radeoon Hd 7950 (the compatibility isnt fixed perfectly yet - something like the case doesnt have usb 3.0 header so just unimportant things but for sure will be fixed)
and so on i would like to get any tips any help or any full build for 900-1000 gaming computer

You should probably consider waiting for next gen hardware because it's only right around the corner. The new haswell processors from intel will come out in a few days I think, and you could get an i5-4570k. Also, nvidia has already released two gpus from the 700 series, the 780 and 770, so the 760 ti is likely going to be released within weeks, which will be an improvement over the 660 ti. Waiting will probably serve you well in the long run. 😀

EDIT: It looks like the new generation of processors have already been released actually lol

Why get a cooler for 3570 not K. The stock will do ggod and wait for 4670k and 4570 as well as 760ti and get the 7950 ice q if u cant wait

A Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 XT or a Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 (presently on sale for $270 at Newegg) would be the most efficient options in that price range.

OP, I urge you to wait only a few days and buy a Haswell processor and Z/H87 motherboard.

im totally not interested in other things that gaming and maybe just watching films for sure not editing or processing films so the Radeon Hd 7950 is way to go but which one exactly ?
and about the processor ok for now i guess i'll wait but i wait to the prices to drop down not to get the haswell cause i guess if its new it would be expensive and wont be a good choice at my current budget
and about the ram tips and the power supply ill search for the thing you said "N00BBuild" if can give me a direct link at newegg or some other website would be very good

thanks alot i see that is perfect one and so i add like 1 100$ mother board but if that's not possible it will be a problem since you forgot the sound card too anyway a cheap sound card like 20$ and 100$ mother board with that build will be awesome i guess thanks 😀

that mother board contains usb 3 while as the build that (Jack Revenant) offered the case doesnt have an usb 3 so isnt there a mother board with same specs but usb 2 so i dont waste money on a thing that i dont use or that i change the case though the case is very good ... this is the case ..

Yes there are no usb 2 only mobos now the only ones are h61 which can not over clock and support i3s sand bridge so get a bit better case with usb3 like the tempest 210 or nzxt source 210 eliete for about the same price even cheaper of haf 922

so i guess that that's it i have got a nice experience and a nice answer i guess ill go for the build that you suggested but the 3 fans at the gpu that i suggested before wont help for over clock and will the one that you suggested with only one fan afford overlock .. ?

That build is significantly worse than mine. It has a GPU which is two tiers down, an older CPU, a lower-grade power supply, and a single stick of RAM.

OP: You don't need a sound card (unless you're involved in the music industry or a truly hardcore audiophile, you won't notice the difference), and my build can fit inside your budget (or near enough), like so:

Edit 2: Regarding 770 vs. 7970, it's pretty level. However, that particular 7970 is of particularly high quality, in addition to being cheaper than any of the 770s I've seen. Thus, I consider it best value for money.

I am having severe difficulty understanding you, I'm afraid. If you're saying that the 660 Ti is more powerful than the 7970 GHz Edition, you are quite incorrect. The 7970 is drastically better in every regard, save price.

Edit: Haswell is the new generation of processors, while that is an Ivy Bridge processor. Haswell processors are approximately 10-15% more powerful than their Ivy Bridge equivalents. That is, a 4670k is around 10% better than a 3570k, et cetera.
