i5 3570k vs i5 4670k

I'm curious why 3570k is coming with 1155 socket. Is this a move to continue sales for 3rd gens? Would you prefer 3570k vs 4670k?

Looks like a very nice build. I would go for the 4670k since the price difference is small, yet you get the advantages of Haswell.

3570k is 1155 and 4th gen is 1150 there really is very marginal difference between the 2 but 4th gen costs a little bit more but very marginally i would just stick with 4670k.

I have a couple of more questions on my mind. How long as in years will this build be good for gaming and what would be the upgrade path to keep this rig updated?
Buy new motherboard? GPU? processor? I don't wanna end up spending 900 $ every 4 years.

I would much rather get a wd Black caviar 1TB hard drive. costs a tad bit more but has higher performance and double the storage. Also consider buying a 280x, since it will probarbly beat the 770 when mantle comes around. That is in games like battlefield 4 that support mantle of course.
