i have a lot of late 90's games installed on win7 64bit, over 40, and after double clicking one i have to wait for about a minute before the screen goes black and stuff happens. it happens on most of them and its driving me insane. modern games are fine. its not CD related because i have no-cd cracks on some games. i have defragged the HDD.
i don't really want to uninstall the games im not playing but maybe thats the problem? its frustrating googling this because there's just nothing on it. ccleaner didn't help either, though i think its helped with system stability problems ive been having lately. win7 is on SSD and the games are on a HDD. win7 is almost 3 years old now as well. tried installing a game on c drive but still took 1 minute 20 seconds to launch.
