9400 GT EXTREME OVERHEAT

well it usually averages between 60 C and 70 C over the past 5 months ive had it now when i was starting it up today the temp was at 75 C yesterday it was 103C i could literally smell the heat when i was playing a game. wats wrong!!!!!

What is your hardware specs? 75c is somewhat high but 103c will kill it quickly. Make sure that the fan isn't lodged with a wire from your power supply. How old is this video card and what brand? It could still be under warranty...

no theres no wire. its PNY i bought it about 5 months ago

well i removed it and the fan wasnt dead i tested it. i opened my comp and turned it on with the cover off and the fan was spinning. idk why the temp is like that. i took this card out and put my old HD3450 i have it fully overclocked and its temp averages from 49C to 55C

Try to rma first but if they become a problem and wont rma you should clean out the cooler while replacing the compound with arctic silver5.
