9400GT gives no display

my 9400GT works just fine on ms-7310 ver 1.0 mobo but gives no display on ms-970a-g46

If the card seems to work just fine on one motherboard and not another then I would suspect that possibly the motherboard with no display has a bad PCI Express slot. If all other components are the same. Can you return the motherboard for a replacement?

I would definitely say that it is not a graphics card issue or compatibility issue with the graphics card.

that is a possibility. I may do just that...
