95 Degree Under Load A8 AMD 7670k

I have a AMD A8 7670k. It's under load temp on titles like Battlefield 1 and Mad Max are 93-95 degrees C. I'm not sure how to fix it , I looked at the CPU Cooler and the heat Sync had very few bit of dust lodged in it. I don't under stand how that would effect tempurature though

I'd guess it's time to replace the thermal paste, if there is even any applied...

take the cpu cooler off and repaste thermal paste. make sure to clean the old one off. that shoud help with the problem. if not let me know

What are you using to read temps? Anything other than AMD Overdrive will give nonsense readings, and cannot be used with AMD APUs.

I was using Speccy for the temp readings. Where can I find AMD Overdrive?

It's generally installed when you install your chipset drivers, and can be found by right clicking on your desktop and opening AMD/Radeon Settings.

I downloaded the app and indeed the Speccy app was Sh!t. I pared them side by side on battlefield 1 and Speccy said 83 C while Overdrive listed 48 C as a maximum when under a load, sometimes it'd be 30 C. Turns out Everything is fine although it is about time I get the heat sync dusted! 😀 I was impressed by the accuracy of the application, thank you all very much!

Be aware that Overdrive reports thermal margin, which isn't quite temperature. 48 "thermal margin" means it can be 48 of... well, whatever units AMD uses which aren't actually degrees (as per AMD) before it's too hot. As long as that number is greater than 0, you're fine.
