It's primarily chrome. I think I managed to fix the overbloatedness however by uninstalling Kaspersky which recently seems to have affected RAM usage. It went down from 90% to 30%, but RAM usage as a whole still seems relatively high.

5GB used is not bad.
test it again. close discord and chrome.

Chrome is a bloated mess. I can believe it's using alot of Ram. Google is good at telling others what they are doing wrong, but bad at telling themselves that. They also don't retain engineering talent or divert them to other projects. Ageism is another issue with a few silicon Valley companies.
