Hi
i have a very huge problem
i got the 950 pro with msi m7 z170a
and i am sure that this board fully supports it
but god its so slow that it actually averages at 30 mb when copying files on the same driver O_O
AA SSD software gives me reading 2200 writing 50
Crystal software gives me reading 2200 writing 1500
samsung magician gives me reading 2200 writing 1500

but this could never be because no matter what i do copying files is soooooooo slow and unzipping files too
my laptop is much faster than this build -,-
the build is 6700k with no gpu and 512GB 950 pro ssd with the msi z170 m7 and god dammiti that m.2 was too expensive
i tried both slots m.2_1 m.2_2 both give the same results
when it throttles the speed goes to below 600kb

please help me i don't know what else to do

UPDATE

Welcome

The NVME driver is installed now but the speed is still the same
the motherboard bios was updated the first time i used it to the latest version

UPDATE2

i installed windows 10 in uefi and the booting is fast but the speed is still slow
i hit a record of 0mb/s write speed while testing
first it starts at 300 sometimes 200 for less than a second and then it drops to 100 and then it drops gradually to 20 then to 1 and then it goes up to 20 and stuck at 20-50

benchmark tests gives me 2500 reading and 1400 writing
crystalinfo says that the ssd is good and samsung magician says that too
is this issue caused by windows 10?
i am now installing windows 7
i hope this issue will finish asap

UPDATE 3

i couldn't install windows 7 no matter what i do and i installed windows 7 hundred of times
but i think i narrowed down the issue
i unscrewed the m.2 screw while it was copying and started to move it and push it forward and i managed to get 800 mb/s
which is a number i never seen before
i tried both the m.2_1 and m.2_2 both give me the same result but when i start moving it i get high speeds
so the fail migh be 75% from the ssd and 25% from the motherboard
so i ordered a pcie 4x to m.2 adapter to put an end to the situation
it will arrive tomorrow
i hope it fixes the issue

UPDATE 4

I got the pcie 4x M.2 adapter and it booted without any change in bios but the results were the same and i am now sure that
my M.2 SSD is indeed corrupted
going to return it and buy a new one
the only issue is i am in japan and still can't read their language x.x god help me with their weird amazon

UPDATTE 5

i got the new 951 evo m.2 this time and the same problem continued O_O
i am trying to set them on raid now to see if this would work
really worried

UPDATE 6 Final Update

After raid the issue continued BUT i figured out the issue
the issue was that i was transferring huge folders instead of one single large file
the issue is with folders the pc does more operations for every single folder that is why it was taking too much time

with raid 0 and one single large file i was able to hit the speed of 1.2GB raid of 950 and 951
HAPPINESS ACHIEVED :)

thank you everyone
