9500/9700 - composite video output circuitry

I've enquired about the poor quality (not very sharp) video output (S and
composite) from my Radeon 9500 Pro in the past, but no-one has responded
with any mods.

Am wondering therefore about trying some hardware mods myself, does anyone
have a circuit for (or any info on) the analogue video output section?

Some of the brands really do have a lousy video output, both s-video and
composite. Think it was a Sapphire I had once and I returned it right
away and bought a HIS in another store which has superb quality over the
other. One thing also is the use of different s-video cables, some of
them are not really shielded separately Y and L, and some do not have
the outer shielding either. If you own an original ATI the problem
probably is the cable in use or a faulty card.

It's an original ATI card. It's not a faulty cable, as for being a faulty
card, I think the only 'fault' would be a mistake in the filter network
values, but I may be wrong of course. Are you able to measure the frequency
bandwidth for your card? For example, with a frequency grating from a
monitor/TV calibration test card. I think many users would be content with
the TV display I have, but it's obviously not as good as it could be.

Has anyone taken the time to figure out the LPF used for the S-video output?
