Hello, I just upgraded from 3.6 to the 4.6's and they just list my card as
a "Radeon 9600 series" card!! Did I install the wrong ones for my XP
system? Another question, how do I tell if the mem interface is 128bit or
64bit, and where is the chip and memory speeds listed? Forgive me but I am
new to the Catalyst drivers.

Thanks in advance
Bob

I would assume that the 9600, 9600 Pro and 9600XT use the same drivers.
So as long as it says "9600", you would be using the correct driver.

Only the 9600SE has the 64-bit memory pathway, all other should be 128-bit.

I had a 9600pro till last week, and the catalyst 4.6 (I guess since 3.8
aprox) list the card as "Radeon 9600 series", no matter if it is pro or no
pro.

You can check with the program "Aida32" all the specification of the card.

In the 9600 pro should read 128 bit, and the core clock : 400 aprox. and
the memory clock : 300 aprox.

That's normal. I can't remember, did the 3.6 drivers list it differently.

Thanks for the input, yes the 3.6 cats listed the card as a 9600 Pro. So I
guess what Todd, and Cristian says must be true that they all the 9600's use
the same driver. This "Aida32" program, is this something I download and
run??

Thanks everybody

Well my Cat4.4's say "9600 series" too and Aida32 says I have
a Radeon 9600 (RV350). Only the box where I got the card
packed in says "Club3D Radeon 9600Pro"...

Make sure you look under "Windows Video", which is under "Display" in
EVEREST.

Wow, I really appreciate all the answers and advice. This Power Color 9600
Pro is awesome. I can't believe the overclockability. Using Rage3D, and
running 463/326 and steady as a rock. Too bad I have it coupled with just a
1800+ clocked to 2100+ speeds. Oh well, maybe a KT400 mobo and 2600+ Barton
soon. hehe

Thanks
Bob
