Hi all,

I ordered a Gigabyte Radeon 9600XT w 128MB Ram last week and I got an email saying my card was charged and all that. Then when I tried to check the status of the order, the guy said it was backordered and should be in within a day and then it would ship. I was was like cool. Well this morning I recieve an email from the place saying that the card was discontinued and they never recieved a shipment. Has anyone heard that they discontinued that card? Or maybe just Gigabyte stopped manufacturing them.

Thanks,

Dave

hi,

Gigabyte haven't discontinued the 9600XT according to their website http://www.giga-byte.com

It could be that the supplier has discontinued selling the product. Who's the supplier?

That sucks - perhaps make the jump to a 9700/9800 pro for ~$50 more.

No, the 9600XT hasn't been discontinued at all, otherwise companys like powercolor wouldn't have discontinued the 9600XT in favour of there new 9600XT bravo model. The only problem with the 9600XT, is that it's selling like hotcakes and some suppliers are having difficulty in keeping up with the orders. After all, it's one of ATI's flagship cards.
