Hi all
I have a AMD 1800+xp on a K7T266 Pro2 mobo and a GF3 ti 500. I am trying to keep this rig upto gaming specs for one more year (then it's time for a complete system changeover) so i think it's best to spend some bucks (euro's if you will) on a new gfx card. (if that's stupid let me know).
The mobo only supports upto AGP4x.
Is it still worthwhile to replace my GF3 with a 9600XT or should I stick to a 9600Pro? At least I want full DX9 hw support.
I am interested in your opinion, although even if it's best to go for the 9600Pro I'll probably stick to the XT because I get Half-Life 2 with that, which I have to buy otherwise. I am wondering though what they ship at this time as to my knowledge HL2 isn't yet released.
