i am going to upgrade my pc but i am confused whats best for gaming no editing no movies only gaming
the 965 be or 1055t
some say 065 be is quad and good for gaming but the 1055t has hexa core so it would do better (i think) i only want to ask whats best for gaming
thnx in advance

Meh, game coders have to get their games to use 4 cores effectively before they can think about 6. 1100T would be nice, but they're real hard to find now from a reputable merchant.

Not really. By the time we get to the point where CPU's effectivly uses 6 cores the Phenom II will be ancient.

I would say to get the 965 because more cores doesn't mean better performance. In this case less cores and a higher clock rate will give better performance for gaming.

It all depends on the specific game. Some games will be able to take advantage of more cores, BF3 for example on heavy multiplayer can bog down a quad

Other games as pointed out just want a faster cpu.
