my friend was thinking to upgrade his cpu which is too old now. :pfff:

he was thinking of buying amd phenom ii quad core processer for a mid high level gaming. :)

so here is the options for cpu:- amd phenom ii x4 965be or amd 970be or 975 be what do you guys think which one is better and best bang for buck from persnol experience. :)

no need to go above this cpus becuz he cant afford that much :non:

so give vote to which ever one you like.:)

btw thanks for helping in advance. :D

have a nice day all of you guys. :D

thanks for your answer sir.:)

yes he is going to overclock it.

so should he get 965 be over 975be is 965 be good performer then that chip?

and yeah he is going to buy cm 212+ can evo be better or 212+ is fine?

He may simply get further overclocking the 975BE because AMD was saving their best batches for last release, but it's completely the luck of the draw if any of them could reach 4.2ghz on air cooling, there are no guarantees they are basically the same under the hood, just the latter release is probably a better quality.

I had my 965BE overclocked to 4.2ghz on air 24/7 stable, reached 4.3ghz but just for a CPU-Z validation.

The EVO has a better base than the original CMH212+, it's only about a 1c better performance difference.

Taking the 965, for example, to change it to a stock 980, change the multiplier to 18.5 and you can still keep the stock cooler, as the 965 cooler and the 980 cooler are the same.
