I have just completing a build with the following that I will use for video creation and editing along with a game or three:
ASUS ProArt z790 Creator Wireless mb on bios 1801 (latest)
Intel 14900K CPU
96GB (2 x 48)Trident Memory kit from G. Skill
MSI 4080 RTX video
Everything runs fine with the memory at the base speed of 4000. When I turn on XMP the memory chips register at the 6800 speed but the computer only boots up in BIOS safety mode. I have tried the SMP II and XMP II Tweaked settings with no luck.
I tried turning on XMP and setting the voltages to 1.40 instead of 1.35. I also set the PMY to individual instead of sync. No change.
Does anyone have other ideas that I can try to get my full memory speed? Even if that goes outside of XMP?
