Question 96GB ram usable out of 128GB

I’m running a Gigabyte X299-WU8 board with a Corsair Vengeance 128GB ram kit (supported by board). BIOS only shows 96 GB usable ram, so does Ubuntu. This is my first build. Please help!

test each ram slot?
check for bend pin on the mobo?

Could you elaborate about bent pins? Is that CPU-related? The system posts and I have Ubuntu installed and running well.

also did you test with the xmp profile on and off?

Thanks. I will re-install the DIMMs individually and if that doesn’t work I’ll check the pins

What cooler do you have? If your still having issues after checking each ram stick, pull the cpu and reseat it (makes sure to clean the old thermal past off and apply new). A lot of times you can over tighten the cooler on the cpu shifting the contact pin from the motheboard past the contact pad on the cpu.

I have an H150i pro liquid cooler.
